Test & Tell: Neal's Yard Remedies Power Berry Daily Moisture Review

This daily moisturizer from Neal's Yard Remedies (an organic natural skin care) is one of the must-haves in my daily skincare regimen. Its interesting claims 'Boost radiance & protects YOUTHFUL SKIN' along with its antioxidant rich ingredients definitely attract one to test it (well, at least for me!).

NYR's website descriptions:
This lightweight, easily absorbed daily moisturising lotion containing antioxidant-rich acai, bilberry, goji berry and rosehip, supports the skin with hyaluronic acid to boost skin moisture levels, whilst a synergistic combination of buddleia and thyme, containing antioxidant flavonoids, and anti-inflammatory saponins and triterpenoids, acts as an anti pollutant to help combat ‘city stress’ and promote skin radiance and vitality.

SKIN FEEL & SPREADABILITY
My first impression on this products is its super lightweight feel. It has a very thin, runny texture and absorbs into the skin quickly. On my oily-combination skin, it leaves a dewy appearance - not oily, moisturising & glowy. I like how it feels on the skin as it is so light and perfect for me to start the day with.

Due to its very liquidy consistency, it spreads easily and quickly on the skin. It is less viscous compared to other moisturizers. As it is not thick nor oily at all, it feels pleasant on oily-combination and oily skin types.

SMELL
Smells very pleasant with its combination of sweet, floral and fruity notes which does smell like berries. Its fragrance ingredients include:
Citronellol - Floral, rose, citrus, green (imitation for citrus, cherry, strawberry, peach, tutti-frutti flavors)
Geraniol - Sweet rose like scent, (natural antioxidant too!)
Limonene - Citrus scent
Linalool - soft, sweet odour.

NOTE: Those who has perfume allergy should be alert of these ingredients and may want to avoid it.

DOES IT WORK AS CLAIMED?
I do feel that it works as claimed to 'boosts radiance & protect youthful skin'. My skin usually appears dull in the morning, so I would apply it before my sunscreen. I find that it makes my skin look radiant by giving a healthy glow.
An extra tip: using antioxidant products regularly increases sunscreen's effectiveness.
